Where do Fuelroo's fuel prices come from?
From each state's official fuel price service: NSW FuelCheck (NSW and the ACT), FuelCheck TAS, Fuel Prices Queensland, the SA Fuel Pricing Information Scheme, FuelWatch (WA), MyFuel NT and Service Victoria. Service stations are required to report their prices to these services.
How often are the prices updated?
About every 10 minutes. Victoria is the exception: it only shares prices with apps about a day late. In WA, prices are fixed for 24 hours from 6 am, and tomorrow's prices are published the afternoon before.
When is the best time to buy petrol?
In the big cities, unleaded prices usually move in cycles: they jump up sharply over a day or two, then slowly fall for a week or more. Filling up near the bottom of the cycle saves the most. The Trends tab in the Fuelroo app shows which way prices are heading in your area.
Can my car use E10?
E10 is unleaded petrol with up to 10% ethanol, and it's usually a few cents cheaper than Unleaded 91. Most modern petrol cars can use it, but some older cars, motorbikes and small engines can't. Check the label inside your fuel flap or your owner's manual.
